The Coalition of National Zongo Political Grouping expressed deep despondency over Ahmed Suale’s assassination and urged the police to provide A Plus with security following his latest claim of possessing information about the killers.
In a press statement, the Coalition urged the public to approach Kwame Asare Obeng, known as A-Plus, with caution, citing his history of deceptive lies and misinformation as determined by a competent court in Accra.
The Coalition emphasised that withholding self-confessed criminal information constitutes aiding and abetting a crime, which is subject to legal penalties.
They called on the police to take A-Plus’s offer to provide the names of Ahmed Suale’s killers seriously and ensure his security to facilitate the prompt capture of the perpetrators.
Additionally, the Coalition expressed dissatisfaction with the government’s efforts to find Ahmed’s killers and questioned A-Plus’s prolonged silence and withholding of crucial information, hoping it is not a political or social media gimmick.
The Zongo community continues to grieve Ahmed Suale’s gruesome death and warned that any attempt to exploit his memory for public attention would face serious legal consequences.
The Coalition stressed the importance of providing absolute protection for anti-corruption campaigners in Ghana.
