The Minister of Youth and Sports, Mustapha Ussif, has responded to criticisms branding him as the worst sports minister in Ghana’s history.

“I disagree with your assertion that I am the worst minister based on numbers. I am unclear about which figures you are referencing. Please clarify the data you are using to reach that conclusion,” he stated.
Additionally, Mr Ussif also defended the government’s $3 million expenditure on Ghana’s participation in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Côte d’Ivoire.
Further, He clarify that this funding were disburse to cover essential expenses during the national team’s 11-day stay, including per diems, flights, medical services, logistics, and hospitality.
