Former Central Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Allotey Jacobs, has slammed Ghanaians for complaining about hardship despite having the luxury of eating three times a day.
In a recent interview on a Ghanaian radio station, Jacobs expressed his frustration with the attitude of Ghanaians towards the current economic situation in the country. He argued that despite the challenges facing the country, Ghanaians should be grateful for the fact that they have access to food.
“You eat three times a day and you are complaining about hardship. In other parts of the world, people are struggling to even get one meal a day. We should be grateful for what we have,” Jacobs said.
He further criticized the government for not doing enough to alleviate the hardship facing Ghanaians but stressed that Ghanaians also need to take responsibility for their own lives and not solely rely on the government for solutions.
“We cannot continue to blame the government for everything. We need to take responsibility for our own lives and find ways to make things better for ourselves,” he added.
