Chris Hughton, the coach of the Black Stars, has been stripped of his duties by the Ghana Football Association (GFA) effective immediately.
The Ghana Football Association announced on its website on Tuesday, January 23, 2024, that Chris Hughton had been dismissed of his responsibilities as head coach of the senior National team effective immediately.
It further stated, “The Executive Council has decided to dissolve the Black Stars’ technical team.”
In the upcoming days, the Ghana Football Association plans to “provide a roadmap on the future direction of the Black Stars.”
Chris Hughton has already taken responsibility for Ghana’s last-minute collapse against Mozambique, which prevented the Black Stars from making it out of another Africa Cup of Nations group round.
