Leicester City and Ghanaian winger Abdul Fatawu Issahaku will miss the rest of the season after suffering an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury during Ghana’s 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers.
Issahaku sustained the injury in Ghana’s penultimate game against Angola, landing awkwardly after an aerial duel. Despite the pain, he played through the first half before being substituted at halftime.
In his debut Premier League season, Issahaku shared an update on Instagram after successful surgery.
“My surgery went well, and I’m feeling good. Thank you all for your best wishes,” he wrote.
The 20-year-old has featured in 11 Premier League games this season, providing two assists.
