The United States Embassy in Ghana has pledged to address concerns from Ghanaian students facing delays in securing expedited student visa appointments.
In an interview on the Citi Breakfast Show, the Visa Chief at the US Embassy in Accra, promised she would investigate the issue and ensure a resolution. She acknowledged the students’ frustrations and emphasised the embassy’s dedication to resolving the problem swiftly and effectively.
Further, Stacy Comp also stated that she would request a complete list of students currently waiting for expedited visa appointments.
“I assure you that I will investigate this matter, check the system, contact our third-party contractor to understand the issue, and ask for a list of students waiting in the expedited visa queue. I’ll review their cases to see how we can accommodate their requests,” she said.
Many applicants have voiced frustration over the prolonged delays in the visa process, expressing concerns about missing academic deadlines and the potential impact on their educational opportunities. They are calling for swift action to resolve the delays and expedite the visa issuance process.
