The National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketia has expressed optimism that the Electoral Commission will address the party’s concerns about the election process and work towards a mutually agreeable resolution.
He made this statement after submitting presidential nomination forms for the 2024 general elections on behalf of the NDC’s flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama.
Asiedu Nketia reiterated his hope that the Electoral Commission will carefully consider the NDC’s concerns, stating,
“We hope the commission will listen and listen to us very well.” Meanwhile, Electoral Commission Chair Jean Adukwei Mensa had previously assured that the general elections would proceed peacefully, transparently, and fairly.
Asiedu Nketia was accompanied by NDC officials, including General Secretary Fifi Kwetey and IT and Elections Director Dr. Edward Omane Boamah.
