The 2022 West African Senior School Certificate Examination tentative results have been made public by the West African Examination Council (WAEC) (WASSCE).
Candidates who wish to do so may access their results at the Council’s website, www.waecgh.org. The Council has hosted the results online.
This was disclosed by WAEC in a statement released today, December 1, 2022.
The subject results of 8,486 candidates who did not return the learning assistance materials that were given to them and/or damaged school property cannot be accessible online at the Council’s website as a result of a request from the Ghana Education Service (GES).
It is suggested that the impacted applicants go to their schools to see their findings.
Performance Stats: A total of 422,883 candidates from 977 schools, including 203,753 boys and 219,130 girls, took the test.
This number is 5.25 percent less than the 446,352 entry number for 2021. 2,818 (0.6796) of the candidates who enrolled for the exam were not present for it.
According to WAEC data, throughout a three-year period, the candidates performed better in social studies (2020-2022).
On the other hand, candidates’ performance over the course of the three years varied in the areas of English Language, Core Mathematics, and Integrated Science (2020-2022).

A total of 117 candidates’ results have also been withheld in their entirety while investigations into alleged impersonation incidents discovered during the exam are ongoing.

“The outcome of the investigations may result in the cancellation or release of the candidates’ withheld results.”
