US Embassy In Ghana Introduces New Pre-Screening Process

Written by Sarah Boye

The US Embassy in Ghana has announced a new pre-screening process to enhance the efficiency of immigrant visa processing.

In a social post, it explained that starting in September 2024, all immigrant visa applicants must attend a pre-screening appointment 3-4 weeks before their scheduled visa interview.

According to the embassy, applicants will receive an email detailing the pre-screening appointment and required documents, along with their visa interview notification.

During the pre-screening, the Embassy will review the documents and inform applicants of any missing items.

Consequently, applicants must address any missing documents before their visa interviews to ensure full preparedness. At the visa interview, consular officers will then confirm that applicants attended the pre-screening and have all necessary documents.

Furthermore, the Embassy emphasized that those who fail to attend the pre-screening or come unprepared with the required documents will need to reschedule their visa interview.
