President John Dramani Mahama has pledged to address youth unemployment by forming strong partnerships with the private sector to create sustainable, well-paying jobs.
In his inaugural speech on January 7 at the Black Star Square, Mahama emphasised that his efforts would focus on improving the lives of all Ghanaians, particularly by empowering the youth.
Further, he outlined his commitment to making inclusivity, accountability, and innovation the guiding principles of his administration and shared his vision for a Ghana where young people have ample opportunities to succeed.
“My administration, alongside my vice president, will prioritise inclusivity, accountability, and innovation,” he stated. “We will work to uplift all Ghanaians. This is a pivotal moment for Ghana’s future, and I am deeply grateful for the trust you have placed in us.”
Mahama also acknowledged the significant role the youth played in his electoral victory and assured them that their hopes and concerns would shape his government’s policies.
“This victory sends a clear message from the youth: your voices matter, and your future is our top priority. Our policies will foster innovation and build industries that engage today’s young minds. We will collaborate with the private sector and business leaders to create quality, well-paying jobs.”
