By trying to break the record for the longest individual singing marathon, Afua Asantewaa hopes to encourage today’s youth to take on greater challenges through her Guinness World Record attempt. She emphasised that people might take on a variety of tasks and engage in a wide range of activities during her speech at the attempt’s conclusion.
People shouldn’t be kept in boxes, according to Afua Asantewaa. The challenge to break the current record—105 hours—was accepted by the young lady in 2012. A five-day singing marathon was experienced by Asantewaa, starting at midnight on Sunday, December 24 and ending at seven in the morning on December 29.
The young woman had sung for five days, six hours, and fifty-five minutes when she called it quits on her effort to break the record on Friday morning.
Afua Asantewaa sang Osibisa’s “Woyaya” to bring her record attempt to a heartfelt close. Later, in her honour and in celebration of her achievements, the national song was played. In addition to politicians and celebrities, Afua Santewaa expressed her gratitude to everyone who helped her, as well as to those who could not make it to Akwaaba Village.
To commemorate Afua Asantewaa, a party is scheduled for Friday night.
