The Vice Presidential Candidate for the New Patriotic Party, Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh has pledged that the Npp government will transform small-scale if elected on December 7.
During a visit to the Western Region, he highlighted Dr Mahamudu Bawumia’s vision to advance responsible mining practices and support the growth of small-scale mining companies through capacity building and equipment financing.
He detailed the party’s plans to revitalise the mining sector for local miners. Thus emphasised establishing community mining schemes in abandoned shafts and exploring new mining sites to create jobs and build wealth.
Further, he assured the Chiefs and Clergy in the Prestea Huni Valley Constituency that the NPP aims to manage Ghana’s mineral resources to benefit the people, promote economic growth, and protect the environment.
