As part of the “Snatch Them Young Policing Initiative,” or “STYPI,” the leadership of the Ghana Police Service visited the students and faculty of St. John the Evangelist Catholic School in Adenta, Accra, on Tuesday, September 19, 2023.

The Inspector General of Police (IGP), Dr. George Akuffo Dampare, and his staff engaged the students in a candid discussion on the function of the police in society and the responsibility of young people to make sure that everyone is in a safer environment during their stay.

The “Snatch Them Young Policing Initiative” is a campaign that attempts to make students and the younger generation comfortable with the Police and regard them as their friends and partners in safeguarding the safety of their communities. The IGP emphasized the significance of this program.

He continued by saying that the effort is an important step towards creating a safer and more trustworthy society and lays the groundwork for respect between the police and the general public, regardless of age.

With an emphasis on fostering positive connections between the Police and the country’s young, STYPI is anticipated to increase its presence in communities and schools all over the country.
