In order to commemorate their 40 years in the gospel music industry, the renowned Ghanaian gospel music group Tagoe Sisters has announced that they will hold a series of live musical events between September and October 2023.
On Thursday, April 13,2023, this was disclosed at a news conference held at the Silicon Production House in Accra.
The jubilee celebration, dubbed “Tagoe Sisters @40,” will take place in the Greater Accra Region and the Ashanti Region, respectively, in September and October.
The inaugural performance will take place at the Grand Arena in Accra on September 23, 2023. On September 30, 2023, at the Gold Coast Kempinski Hotel, there will be a fundraiser dinner night and 40th anniversary celebration immediately after.
The same events will be repeated in Kumasi, the capital of the Ashanti Region, with a concert on October 2 and a benefit dinner on October 23.
The renowned collections of the pair would be performed by colleagues in the music business and other fields.
In order to interact and personally invite them to grace both occasions, Linmart Media Solutions, the dean of event management and quality production, will travel to Ghana to meet with President Akufo Addo, the former presidents John Dramani Mahama and John Agyekum Kufour, the chairman of the council of state, Asantehene Otumfour Osie Tutu II, CEOs of businesses, and all other notable Ghanaians.
They will also take advantage of the chance to visit orphans in both locations on behalf of their Foundation and donate some things to make mothers and the less fortunate smile.
The launch’s chair, Madam Joyce Ayi, described the Tagoe Sisters as a blessing and a gift to the world in her speech. She advised the young musicians to adopt their way of life.
The much-attended event was graced by a number of dignitaries and celebrities, including Rev. Yawson, Cyndy Thompson, Opheilia Nyantakyi, Mary Gyansah, Perez Music, and Opiesie Easther.
Since 1983, the gospel music business has featured the singing talents of Lydia Dedei Yawson Nee Tagoe and Elizabeth Korkoi Tagoe, twins who go by the stage names Lydia Dedei Yawson Nee Tagoe and Elizabeth Korkoi Tagoe.
The renowned gospel music duo has never looked back since breaking onto the market, and they continue to share their stories with listeners who are touched by their music in various ways all across the world.
In 1979, the duo traveled the entire nation with bands like Advent Heralds and took part in significant musical events all across the nation.
The illustrious sisters played with the Advent Heralds between 1982 and 1983 during the Open Bible Campaign and were acknowledged as the first pair or group to sing modern gospel music.
They were introduced to the late Reverend Amoako by their Papa, Nana Ekumfi II, and he took over as their spiritual guide in 1985. They are well known for massive hits like “Yedi Nkunim” and “Fabibara.”
