Students Stabilized After Alleged Food Poisoning at Ajumako Afransi Technical And Vocational Institute

On Tuesday, after eating waakye for lunch by students of Ajumako Afransi Technical and Vocational Institute in the Central Region, some students began vomiting while others experienced stomach aches in their dormitories.

According to reports, school officials quickly notified medical personnel, and students with symptoms were rushed to the Ajumako Baah and Salvation Army Polyclinic after alleged food poisoning for treatment. 

At the hospital, over 30 pupils from the school were admitted . Physician assistant in charge Mr. Daniel Agyeakpor stated that the cause of the illness is unknown, however, most students have been stabilised.

Parents of the affected students rushed to the school and hospital to check on their children.
