Prior to the evening’s festivities, thousands of fans will be treated to the exuberance and distinctive sound of afrobeats, reggae, and dancehall by the Ghanaian international sensation, who is well-known for his worldwide chart-topping hits “Into The Future” and “Activate.” The fifteen-day thrilling competition between 5,000 elite athletes and coaches from fifty-five African countries competing in twenty-nine specific sports codes is set to conclude with a spectacular performance by Stonebwoy.

Athletes from all over the continent come together for the African Games every four years, one year prior to the Olympics. The African Union owns and organises the competition on behalf of its members. The esteemed competition, which is in its 13th year, honours African cultural heritage and values, fosters unity and integration, and displays athletic brilliance. Furthermore, social cohesiveness and a culture of peace are greatly enhanced by the Games in Africa.
