“Sirens Are Not Essential For My Role As MP”-John Dumelo

Written by Sarah Boye

The Member of Parliament for Ayawaso West Wuogon, John Dumelo, has expressed that while sirens may aid in movement, he does not consider them essential for his role as an MP.

In a viral video, Dumelo addressed the ongoing debate over MPs using sirens to ease transportation during their duties.

“I was with him in Parliament for orientation, but I just left. A Plus says we need sirens; maybe that’s his opinion, but personally, I don’t think I need a siren,” Dumelo remarked, referring to his colleague Kwame Obeng Asare, known as A Plus.

Further, Dumelo acknowledged the debate among MPs, some of whom support the use of sirens, but he stood firm in his own view. “I know some people do, and it’s a debate that has been ongoing for some time, but personally, I don’t,” he concluded.
