Renowned Nigerian Afrobeats artist Tiwa Savage has expressed frustration over the ongoing criticism she faces for her fashion choices, particularly due to her age.
In a recent podcast interview, Tiwa reveal the disparity in how she is critise in contrast to international stars like Beyoncé.
“While Beyoncé, also in her 40s, wears bikinis without facing age-related criticism in the U.S., I frequently face backlash in Nigeria.They constantly age-shame me. They ask how someone my age can wear a bikini, but I can because I have a body,” she said.
Many question how I can wear revealing outfits at my age and suggest that my son will be uncomfortable by my fashion choices.
