Ghanaian singer Sefa, known privately as Sefadzi Abena Amesu, has announced her departure from Black Avenue Muzik.
In an interview, she confirmed that she ended her affiliation with the label some time ago after her contract expired.
“I no longer work with Black Avenue,” Sefa stated, adding, “When you work with people you consider family, it’s a roller coaster. Things happen, and there were some business misunderstandings.”
Sefa spent about seven years at Black Avenue Muzik, where she released popular tracks like “Fever,” “E Choke,” “Shuga,” “Player,” and “Vibration.”
In 2022, she won the Vodafone Ghana Music Award for Afrobeats Song of the Year with her hit song “E Choke.”
