Ghanaian actress Shugatiti has recently addressed criticism regarding her social media presence, particularly accusations of being a prostitute.
Speaking on Kingdom FM with Fiifi Pratt, Shugatiti argued that women engaging in multiple sexual relationships outside of marriage could be considered prostitutes based on their actions.
“People label me as a prostitute, but in my opinion, if a woman is involved with multiple men without being married, she fits the definition of a prostitute,” Shugatiti asserted.
She clarified that her personal experience has been limited, stating,
“Personally, I’ve only dated one Nigerian.”
Shugatiti emphasised that prostitution extends beyond street solicitation, encompassing those who engage in multiple premarital relationships.
Disregarding online criticism, she maintained her broader perspective on the term, which includes anyone participating in sexual activities with multiple partners outside of marriage.
