Dancehall artist Shatta Wale has called on Ghanaians to apologise to former President John Mahama for voting him out in the 2020 elections.
In a widely circulated video on social media, Shatta criticised Ghanaians for complaining about the current economic hardships, pointing out that they rejected Mahama simply because they didn’t like him.
Further, he emphasised that many, including himself, benefitted from Mahama’s leadership. Shatta also praised the respectful relationship John Mahama and his brother Ibrahim had with Ghanaian musicians, stating,
“Everyone should apologise to Mahama. During his presidency, I personally benefitted, and I don’t mind if people say I’m endorsing him. His brother, Ibrahim, truly supports the creative industry.”
