Seven firefighters are receiving treatment at St. Dominic Catholic Hospital in Akwatia and Kade Government Hospital after their fire truck with registration number FS 438 crashed in Adankrono.
According to reports, the firefighters were heading to an emergency at Otwenkwanta, where a fuel tanker had veered off the road.
However, at around 08:37 on Sunday morning the fire department received the alert of accident .Thus, they navigated a curve near the Gaso filling station and their fire truck crashed into the bush.
Initial investigations suggest a possible steering lock issue, but the exact cause remains unclear.
