Written by Louis

At the 3i Africa Summit Partners and Stakeholders Mixer in Accra, renowned Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie participated in a panel discussion alongside other distinguished figures from the creative industry.

The primary objective of the conversation was to investigate how fintech, legislation, and the creative sector interact.

Throughout the talk, Sarkodie explained Ghana’s music royalties system, emphasising the need to establish a structured framework to ensure that musicians receive their just remuneration.

“Here in Ghana, the royalty system has been a major problem, but there is very little that can be done—it’s just a matter of setting up the system and getting the money back,” he stated.

On the panel with Sarkodie were notable figures, including KOD, Chief Moomen, and director Juliet Asante.

With the aim of altering Africa’s economic landscape through the wise and sustainable allocation of financial resources, the 3i Africa Summit is a groundbreaking international conference.

In order to support long-term growth and development throughout the continent’s financial ecosystem, the summit offers a venue for stimulating discussions, innovative problem-solving, and teamwork.
