The King of Gonja kingdom, Yagbonwura Bii-Kunuto Soale Jewu Soale, has issued a ban preventing the Member of Parliament for Damongo constituency Samuel Abu Jinapor from visiting any palace in Gonjaland.
In a viral video, the King labeled Jinapor as a threat to the region’s peace and unity and announced this decision at the Jakpa Palace following a protest by Gonjaland’s youth against the MP.
Through the linguist the king declared,
“From today, no chief in Gonjaland should allow Abu Jinapor to visit or bring any government official or politician to any palace in Gonjaland. Any chief who disobeys this order will face consequences.”
Additionally, the King, through his interpreter, outlined several reasons for this decision.
