The manager of dancehall star Shatta Wale, Sammy Flex, recently used social media to directly address allegations from videographer Sire Choppenson regarding unpaid fees for shooting over 13 music videos.
Sammy Flex emphatically rejected Choppenson’s accusations, labelling them as baseless and driven by greed and dishonesty.
He explained that tensions escalated when Choppenson insisted on more payment during a trip to Tamale for one of Shatta Wale’s performances, despite having already been paid for equipment costs following the ‘Killa Ji Mi’ video shoot in Accra.
Shatta’s Manager expressed disappointment that Choppenson then ceased communication and independently approached Shatta Wale, even threatening to withhold completed videos until additional payments were made.
Despite attempts to resolve the issue through intermediaries, Choppenson remained unresponsive to reconciliation efforts.
