Popular Nigerian comedian Helen Paul suggested that employers should deposit women’s salaries directly into their spouses’ bank accounts.
She made this suggestion in a recent Instagram post, asking other women for their opinions on the matter.
She wrote,
“I believe women’s income should be deposited straight into their husbands’ bank accounts. What are your thoughts, my fellow women?”
Her tweet sparked varied reactions, with some women agreeing and others expressing their disapproval in the comments section.

She earned a doctorate in theatre arts from the University of Lagos.
