Ghanaian makeup artist Roselyn Akosua Mantey has officially unveiled her Guinness World Record certificate after breaking the record for the longest makeup application marathon.
At a media event on October 23, 2024, Mantey proudly displayed her certificate and thanked her team, sponsors, and supporters for their crucial contributions to her success. She highlighted the challenges she encountered, especially the difficulty in securing sponsorship for the event.
After submitting the required evidence, Guinness World Records verified her achievement, confirming that she set a new record of 103 hours, 25 minutes, and 33 seconds—well beyond the previous 24-hour record.
This achievement took place during a five-day “makeup-a-thon” at Legon, Accra, from April 3 to April 7, 2024.
