Rex Omar, the chairman for GHAMRO has revealed that the Ghana Broadcast Corperation for the past 7 years have paid not a dime to the Association.

He sat on Accra-based hitz Fm to make such revelation when elaborating on the purpose of creating the Association.

Over the weekend, GHAMRO has established a conversation on major entertainment platforms after it was allegedly by Akosua Agyapong that the Association failed to cater for the late Kwadwo Akwaboah Snr.

According to the astute songstress, Akwaboah Snr had reached out to the Association to take his royalties but he was denied and later died of illness.

Even though the interim president Agya Abraham has come to debunk such, Rex Omar on Tuesday morning established that the Association is not a Charity quarters but a CMO.

He also said that the board of GHAMRO agreed that life insurance, health insurance and social pension are supposed to be introduced to support artists but want futile.

He elaborated that some institutions have failed to pay music royalties for a longer period of time and that incudes the Ghana Broadcasting Coperation.
