“Qualified For CAF Executive Committee Election”-Kurt Okraku

President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Kurt Okraku has announced his clearance to run for a position on the Confederation of African Football (CAF) Executive Committee.

He shared the news on his Facebook page, confirming that he passed CAF’s mandatory integrity test.

“I’m happy to share that I have qualified the integrity test and have been authorize to contest for a place on the CAF Executive Committee. Excited for what lies ahead. May God guide us through this journey!” Okraku wrote. 

Okraku runs unanimous from the West African Football Union Zone B (WAFU B) and is set to be confirm as a CAF Executive Committee member during the Elective Congress on March 12, 2025, in Cairo, Egypt.

His candidacy reflects his broader vision to improve African football governance and use his leadership experience at the GFA to influence the continent.

The Elective Congress will be a crucial event for African football, as it will not only confirm Okraku’s position but also elect key leaders, including the CAF President and FIFA Council representatives for the 2025–2029 cycle.
