Afua Etruwaa, daughter of Guinness World Record Sing-a-thon participant Afua Asantewaa, has revealed that constant public attention is taking a toll on her mental and emotional well-being.
In a recent interview, Etruwaa said the intense spotlight has become overwhelming. She explained that although her mother’s fame has drawn admiration and applause, it has also trapped her in an invisible cage.
“We face a lot of challenges. Sometimes I want to go to the mall, but my mother warns me that people might recognise me and take pictures.”
“Despite my dreams of becoming a beauty queen, I long for a more private and unrestricted life.”
