National Democratic Congress (NDC) running mate Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang has travelled to Harare, Zimbabwe, to officially end her tenure as Chancellor of the Women’s University in Africa.

James Agyenim-Boateng, the spokesperson for the NDC running mate, said this transition will enable Prof. Opoku-Agyemang to focus fully on the John Mahama for President 2024 campaign.

During her seven-year tenure as Chancellor, Prof Opoku-Agyemang worked with the university’s management, Board of Trustees, and Council to restructure the institution, which improved its efficiency and financial stability. She led efforts to provide opportunities for women who missed higher education earlier and for young women excluded from high school.

Further , Prof Opoku-Agyemang also made the Women’s University in Africa more appealing by offering flexible learning options and developing practical programs that connect theory with practice.
