Three 43-inch TVs, a lawnmower, and two computers were among the donations made to the institution.
In a video posted to the Crime Check TV Gh YouTube channel, Ibrahim Oppong Kwarteng, the executive director of the foundation, expressed his gratitude for the donation after hearing from notorious prisoner Raymond Ayittey, better known by his stage name Ataa Ayi, who informed him that the facility was in need of some necessities.
Ataa Ayi informed me on my most recent visit that they would be really grateful for a television set so they could watch the World Cup matches.
He continued by saying that they would be eternally thankful if I could provide them a mowing machine and computers.
Mr. Kwarteng specifically thanked one individual, Stephen Ofosu Agyare, for funding the donation on the day of the donation.
The prison administration on their part thanked the Crime Check Foundation and gave them their word that the donated goods would be put to good use.
They also took advantage of the occasion to solicit donations for the Ankaful prison from charitable foundations and groups.
