“Prioritise Dialogue And Consensus Building”-A Plus Urges NDC

Written by Sarah Boye

The MP-elect for Gomoa Central,Kwame Asare Obeng, has announced his readiness to collaborate with the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in Parliament.

Speaking on Asempa FM on Wednesday, he urged the NDC to prioritise dialogue and consensus building rather than relying solely on their supermajority.

“The roads from Gomoa Lome to Asebu are in terrible condition. My constituency has no good roads, and the NDC must include us in their development plans because Gomoa Central is part of Ghana. I am ready to work with them,” he stated.

Further, he stressed the need for development,

“We are proficient at holding governments accountable, but I don’t want to focus on that. My priority is to drive progress for Ghana and Gomoa Central.”

As an independent candidate, A Plus revealed that the NDC had already reached out to him for parliamentary collaboration. However, he made it clear that his support hinges on the party’s commitment to addressing the development needs of his constituency, which he considers his top priority.
