The Office of the President has directed all outgoing ministers, deputy ministers, regional ministers, and other political appointees to return government vehicles by January 3, 2025.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, December 11, the presidency ordered appointees to hand over all government vehicles to the chief directors of their respective ministries by the deadline.
The statement emphasized that appointees, including ministers of state, deputy ministers, regional ministers, special assistants, aides to the president and vice president, and political appointees serving on statutory boards and corporations, must not retain or purchase any official vehicle.
