Ghana’s first female Vice President-elect, Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, called on supporters to prepare for the significant challenges ahead.
In her acceptance speech on December 9, she urged everyone to unite in pursuit of the party’s vision for a prosperous and inclusive Ghana.
“The journey is over; the work is about to begin,” she declared, marking the end of a tough campaign and the start of a new chapter in Ghanaian politics.
Further, Professor Opoku-Agyemang pledged to use her role to promote inclusivity and empowerment, vowing to create opportunities for others.
“I will keep the door open for those who wish to pass through it. This position is not just for me; it is about empowering others. This victory belongs to all of us, especially our daughters, youth, and mothers,” she said.
Additionally, she also stressed the need for gender equity in building a strong nation, highlighting the importance of everyone contributing to Ghana’s development.
