In response to a blackmail complaint filed by Serwaa Amihere, the state has filed charges against Henry Fitz and two other individuals today, Monday, April 8, 2024.
According to the authorities, Serwaa was cyberbullied, and her private photos were published without her consent. The three individuals planned to carry out these crimes together.
The identities of the other two accused individuals are trader Candylove Kwakyewaa Ababio and filmmaker Edem Saviour Ketti.
The lawsuit alleges that they conspired to first force her to pay a sum of money in order to stop them from releasing her naked film, which included Henry Fitz, the third accused.
Releasing illegal videos of Serwaa Amihere on social media without her permission constituted the second violation.
The lawsuit explained in detail how the accused, purportedly acting through the makeup artist of the complainant, made their first financial demands of GHS 5,000 on December 3, 2024.
She was allegedly asked to pay GHS 20,000 for the second demand, which she did; however, the accused proceeded to release the private footage.
The suit further states that per the complaint with the police, and upon surveillance mounted, the first accused was arrested at his hideout at Dzorwulu.
During investigations, he allegedly admitted to having used his Ghana Card to register the said mobile money account number and handed it to the second accused, before it was then handed to the third accused.
While investigations are ongoing, attempts are being made to apprehend Henry Fitz, who is currently at large.
