The Ghana Police Service has intensified its search for Fatau Motorway, a suspect linked to violent clashes between New Patriotic Party (NPP) and National Democratic Congress (NDC) supporters in Mamobi, Accra, on October 13, 2024.
In a statement, the police urged the public to assist their efforts by providing information that could lead to his arrest. To encourage cooperation, they offered a GH₵20,000 reward for credible information leading to his capture.
This push follows a violent confrontation between NPP and NDC supporters that heightened tensions in Mamobi, sparking security concerns ahead of the 2024 general elections.
Fatau Motorway, reportedly caught on camera brandishing a weapon during the clashes, remains at large.
The reward is part of the police’s broader efforts to hold those responsible accountable and ensure a peaceful political atmosphere ahead of the elections.
