The Ghana Police Service has confirmed that officers admitted Oliver Barker-Vormawor, a leading member of Democracy Hub, and Fanny Otoo to the Police Hospital after they reported health issues.
In a statement, the police explained that they transferred both activists to the hospital for medical care after they complained of feeling unwell.
The police emphasize that Fanny Otoo informed them of his illness while they were sending the suspects to court. Similarly ,the police took Oliver Barker-Vormawor to the hospital later that night after he reported feeling ill.
Further,the police emphasized that they provided medical care promptly and that neither Barker-Vormawor nor any other suspects in custody had been denied medical attention at any point.
