Police Arrest Parents Of Elrad Amoako Following Fatal Accident

The Ghana Police Service has arrested the parents of 16-year-old Elrad Salifu Amoako, involved in a fatal accident in East Legon on Saturday, October 12, 2024.

The police statement confirms that Bishop Elisha Salifu Amoako and his wife, Mouha Amoako, are in custody for questioning regarding the accident, which resulted in two deaths.

The statement further explained that Elrad, while driving a Jaguar SUV (GN 7801-20), crashed into a 4×4 Acura (GR 2542-23) driven by Joseph Ackah, carrying four passengers. The collision caused both vehicles to ignite, leaving them completely destroyed by fire.

“The parents of the 16-year-old suspect driver, Bishop Elisha Salifu Amoako and Mouha Amoako, are currently in custody, assisting with the investigation,” the statement confirmed.

The police also noted that a team from the Police Management Board, led by Inspector-General of Police Dr. George Akuffo Dampare, visited the bereaved family to offer condolences and visited the injured at the hospital.
