Sports and Recreation Minister-designate Kofi Adams has assured that Parliament will address concerns regarding Ghana’s hosting of the 2023 African Games in early 2024.
Speaking to reporters at the Accra Sports Stadium, Adams confirmed that Parliament would conduct a thorough investigation in due course.
“I recall that Parliament raised issues regarding this matter. Unfortunately, we couldn’t discuss the report from the committee that reviewed sports matters before the 8th Parliament ended. However, with the 9th Parliament now in session, we will explore the next steps—whether to reintroduce the report or send the issues back to the committee for further review and resubmission for consideration,” Adams explained.
“We’re not ruling out any options, but we must follow the process first and then see what the investigation reveals,” he added.
