Parliament Confirms No Injuries In Job 600 Building Fire Outbreak

Ghana’s Parliament has confirmed that the early morning fire at the Job 600 building on Tuesday, August 27, 2024, caused no injuries.

In a statement, Parliament expressed gratitude to the firefighters for their prompt response, although they are still assessing the full extent of the damage.

“The Ghana National Fire Service quickly extinguished the fire, which damaged a storeroom. We assure the public that no injuries occurred, although the damage is still under evaluation.”

Additionally, the Clerk to Parliament, in consultation with Speaker Alban Bagbin, has instructed all Members of Parliament and staff to return on Wednesday, August 28, 2024.
