Ghanaian actress Shugatiti has revealed why she has stopped attending church services despite acknowledging its physical and spiritual benefits.
In a viral video, Shugatiti disclosed that she has not been to church for over seven years due to unwanted sexual advances from pastors, instrumentalists, and other attendees during her visits.
She explained.
“It’s been over seven years now,” “Church is a place where they practice favouritism, and sin is plentiful. If you go there, the instrumentalist wants to sleep with you, and the pastor wants to sleep with you. Everybody wants to sleep with you. And if you don’t give in to them, nobody talks to you, leaving you feeling isolated and discouraged from attending church.”
“Those kinds of things put me off. That’s why I don’t like going to church; I don’t want to see those things. So right now, if I need something, I just pray and fast, and I get it,”.
She noted that, these behaviours have significantly dissuaded her from participating in church activities.
