Black Stars coach Otto Addo has firmly stated that he will not resign, despite the team’s recent struggles.
In a presser, he rejected calls for his departure, insisting that he has come too far in his career to let external pressure influence his decision.
“I don’t resign. If I had, I wouldn’t have made it as a player or coach. If you knew my journey to this point, you wouldn’t question my commitment,” Addo said.
Further, Addo acknowledged the team’s difficulties but pointed out positive performances and urged the media and fans to support the players instead of placing blame.
“We started well but conceded from a set piece, which we knew was a risk based on previous matches. We must improve our defence on set pieces,” Despite the setbacks, there were positives, especially from players who hadn’t featured before but performed well today.”he said.
Additionally, Addo also urged the media to focus on uplifting the team.
“The media shapes the narrative, not just the results. You have the power to support the players, who gave their all,” he added.
