Gospel musician Ohemaa Mercy has advised young and aspiring gospel ministers to discover their divine purpose and steer clear of imitating others.
In an interview she advised emerging gospel singers to avoid imitating others. She emphasised that the gospel ministry is a sacred calling from Jehovah and that ministers must discern their unique path and follow it faithfully.
“You need discernment to recognise those who genuinely support you from those who might try to undermine you, In my experience, many who seemed supportive later became adversaries.Understand the purpose of your calling and follow the path God has set for you, rather than copying others.”
Furthermore, Ohemaa Mercy also announced plans to host an event in December to help young and aspiring gospel artists gain a deeper understanding of their calling and the gospel ministry.
