Ghanaian gospel singer Ohemaa Mercy has revealed that she received a divine directive from God to proceed with her divorce from her ex-husband.
In an interview on TV3, she explained that she sought the Holy Spirit’s guidance and spent months in intense prayer.
According to her, during the COVID-19 pandemic, she devoted significant time to prayer and reflection, including retreats to the mountains. It was through this period of spiritual dedication that she felt a clear confirmation from God to move forward with the divorce, emphasising that she would not have acted without this divine assurance.
Further, she also noted that her ex-husband supported the decision, understanding the necessity for her to fully embrace God’s guidance and blessings.
They agreed to co-parent and support each other while upholding their shared commitment to honouring God.
