OFM Request YouTube To Mute Team Eternity Song “Defe Defe”

Written by Sarah Boye

CEO of OFM Computer World Kwame Mickey, has formally requested YouTube to remove Team Eternity Ghana’s popular song “Defe Defe” over copyright infringement.

According to the letter, Team Eternity sampled the original “Defe Defe” by Hallelujah Voices without permission and reused it as their original song. Hence, report the team video on YouTube to make the video private to prevent further access pending legal proceedings.

A portion of the letter stated: “In light of the copyright infringement, we request YouTube to immediately restrict access to the video before legal action is pursued in Ghana’s capital city court.”

This follows concerns raised by the executive producer for Hallelujah Voices, Kwame Mickey, in a Facebook post, alleging that Team Eternity Ghana infringed on his copyright by using the “defe defe” line in their new hit song.
