Nora Häuptle has been choose as the new head coach of Zambia’s Copper Queens, a decision officially announced on Friday during a ceremony at the Taj Pamodzi Hotel in Lusaka.
During her tenure, she successfully led the team through various important campaigns, most notably a challenging Olympic qualifier where Zambia narrowly defeated Ghana across two legs.
Previously, Häuptle stepped down from her role as head coach of Ghana’s Black Queens after her contract expired.
The Swiss coach, who signed a three-year contract, will now focus on prepare the Copper Queens for the 2025 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).
