In a horrifying event, Habiba Ibrahim, a newlywed woman, allegedly severed the manhood of her 40-year-old husband, Salisu Idris, while he was sleeping.
According to DailyTrust, Idris, a commercial motorbike rider from Kudan in Kaduna State, stated that the attack took place after he returned from early morning prayers.
He claimed he was resting on his bed when his wife rushed on him with a sharp knife and removed his manhood.
Neighbours promptly responded to his cries for assistance and rescued him.
He was then transported to the Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital in Zaria, after been referred to the General Hospital Makarfi where physicians tried to save his life.
During interrogations, He said:
“I am currently more concerned about my situation and not concern about remarrying as a result of the occurrence . I married Habiba four months ago, I am surprised at her conduct, we have no previous misunderstandings.
His mother, Rabi Salisu said :
“Despite the fact they do not reside in the same compound , he never complained about his wife to me.
The police have arrested Habiba Ibrahim, and yet to comment on the incident”.
