NDC’s Functional Executive Committee Nullifies Alleged Withdrawal Of Assin Central Candidate

Written by Sarah Boye

The Functional Executive Committee (FEC) of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has nullified the alleged withdrawal and suspension of the parliamentary candidate for Assin Central, Mr Nurein Shaibu Migyimah.

After examining the facts and circumstances, the FEC determined that the withdrawal was illegal and unauthorised under the party’s constitution.

The FEC deemed the reasons for the withdrawal unfounded and declared the letter void, urging party members to disregard it. As a result, Mr Nurein Shaibu Migyimah will continue as the NDC’s parliamentary candidate for Assin Central in the upcoming December elections.

These measures do not affect Mr. Migyimah’s right to pursue legal action against those attempting to tarnish his reputation.

The NDC encourages its members in Assin Central to support Mr. Migyimah and work towards winning the seat in the upcoming elections

This decision followed a meeting with the Central Regional Executive Body, led by the Regional Chairman, to address the purported withdrawal.
