The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has suspended Kpeli Worlase, a member from the Afram Plains North Constituency in the Eastern Region, over allegations of misconduct.
In a letter dated July 24, 2024, the party reported receiving complaints about Worlase’s alleged anti-party activities, including campaigning against the party’s parliamentary candidate in his constituency.
“At its meeting on July 23, 2024, FEC reviewed the issue and decided to suspend you from the party in accordance with Article 48 of the Party’s constitution and to refer the matter to the National Disciplinary Committee for adjudication.”
Further, the letter indicated that its Disciplinary Committee will summon Mr Worlase for a hearing, adding,
“It will be in your best interest to attend the adjudication, enabling the Committee to submit a report with recommendations to FEC for further action.”
